Raised as a member of a south Texas Biker gang, Roy's life was miserable. Total disorder was the only expectation of any day. Roy as a teen scavenged books as often as food and parts on the raids he partook of. Working with little help to become literate. Roy began to worship the hero he had read of and set his mind to join their ranks. At 18 Roy left his birthplace and cut a path BY HIMSELF to Reno.. No mean feat for a veteran of the special forces. Roy promptly Joined the 8th Snohomish Hussars, then lagering in Reno. After a year as a trooper he was transferred to the Fresno depot spending three years of service "sorting boxes of bullets" ending as a corporal. "Time a wasting" was how Roy described it when he requested transfer to the Royal Rangers. Supriseing all with the his determination to pass all of the test demanded to enter the rangers Roy was posted in many pacific rim hot spots and was promoted to Sargent after one year in Korea at the embassy. Roy was recommend for OCS By both the Embassy guard captain and the ambassador. No suprise that the time Roy spent in classes were some of his happiest. Having graduated high in his class Roy was sent to a year of language training. At 28 Lieutenant Bean returned to the rim serving in many minor skirmishes and potential political bomb shells. At 32 Captain Bean was returned to Portland with a gunshot wound in the left leg. After recovering he was posted as the D team executive officer, and is serving there currently.
