Duchess Bettina originally came to the UKA from Italy in 2042 to make her way in the UKA's film industry. Already an accomplished actress in the Italian film industry before she came to North America, she soon plunged into a major film career in Portland. Her film credits include starring roles in the 17th know remake of The King and I, Italian Caesar, and Hamlet. She married the at that time Captain Booker Thayer Lincoln, RN in the spring of 2043, after he saved her life after she got inadvertantly involved in an assassination plot against the king. In 2044, she became Duchess of Joliet. Despite her association with the loose-living circle of movie mogul Leggy Mountbatten, Duchess Bettina always had the reputation of virtuousness. She has been intimately involved in relief efforts for refugees in the areas of her husband's military commands, while still doing some acting work. She is also a good friend of both the Queen and Crown princess.
