Born into a large agricultural/strictly Christian based family, his parents were farmers and he had three other brothers. Educational goals were neglected, and he spent most of his childhood and early adolescence on his hometown farm. Victor and his older brothers learned much in the way of practical outdoor skills (hunting, survival, etc.). He had a more or less happy childhood, though he was toughened by the frequent beatings from his brothers, and at times, his own father. It was a simple and hard life, but Victor had a pleasant childhood.
A local Biker gang often made monthly stops to the farm, in order to re-supply their food stock. His father despised having to give his hard earned crops to these cretins. Unfortunately, there was very little he could do, being that they were well armed and numerous.
But he drew the line when one of the bikers made sexual advances towards his wife. He dared strike the bike gang member, which caused all hell to break lose on the farm. The Bikers torched their home, raped and murdered Victor’s mother, and beat Victor’s father to death. At first they decided to keep the boys as slaves, but then later decided that they weren’t worth it. His brothers were cleanly executed in the nearby woods. Victor managed to struggle with his would be executor and darted within the safe, dark confines of the forest, which he knew well. The bikers didn’t pursue, and Victor managed to make his way north.
With no family, no friends, and no current drive in life, he joined the Special Forces. He made an excellent soldier, being very adept in the covert arts and becoming a master in his preferred method of discreet encounters with the enemy (hit and run raids, short ambushes, etc.). Although not particular bright, Victor has a reputation for following orders to the letter and being extremely loyal. He eats and breathes the military life.
Dagget has served admirably in the UKA Special Forces, and has participated in a number of battles. Notably, in the Georgian War, invasion of southern Spain (2037), The Portuguese War, (2039), The Second Spanish War (2040), and the subsequent invasion of Italy in (2042).
Victor is a battle hardened veteran, and has a body covered with scars for physical evidence. It was during that last campaign, on a mission within Italy, where he suffered his second face full of shrapnel. He was shipped out back to the mainland US, on temporary sick-leave. He underwent intensive facial reconstruction.
While stationed at Portland, the reserve base life grew tiresome and his career grew rocky. Rumors of extortion rackets surrounded Dagget. His squad of men, were nicknamed "The IRS." Apparently, he and his men were finding new schemes to rack in a few extra bucks. While the stories remain, a full military investigation turned up nothing.
Be that as it may, Dagget was denied his expected promotion to Lieutenant. _
