Republic of Taiwan
The most stable of the Chinese states due to its geographical isolation, the ROT is ruled with an iron fist by President Ming Lianli and his formidable
wife Keyo Jiajun. The capital city is Yangminshan, a short distance northwest of the ruins of Taipei. Now very friendly to the UKA, it has increased its ties with us to counterbalance the Japanese who have tried to invade the island on several occasions.
Under an agreement reached in the middle of last year, the Royal Navy has been allowed to set up a small support facility at Chilung, on the island's northern coast. It is expected that
the government of Taiwan will support this mission to the best extent it can to earn goodwill, even though the Taiwanese government sees no threat from the Mongols to its interests.
Taiwan is a relative economic powerhouse for the area, its trade contacts with Indonesia and the UKA allow it to serve as a trade intermediary for the mainland.
The republic's army of eight divisions is mediocre, but its small navy of one battleship and three destroyers is world class, as the Japanese have found recently to their regret.
