Organization and TO&Es of the Republic of South Africa

Notes on the Aftermath South African Orders of Battle:
The format used is that of the Command Decision IIItm miniatures rules, the rules we use to fight most of our land battles. Each model behicle or gun represents a platoon or battery consisting of four of that type, each personnel stand represents a platoon of approximately 40 men. Units listed in italics are support troops that usually do not accompany the combat elements into the field.

2045 Infantry Brigade

Troop Quality: Experienced, Morale: 8 Brigade Troops, with:
Headquarters, with:
       1 command stand, 1 jeep
Headquarters Company, with:
       1 light staff radio truck, 1 command stand, 1 jeep, 1 light field kitchen truck, 2 light general supply trucks, 1 support stand
Brigade Mortar Battery, with:
       1 mounted command stand, 2 gun crew (ds), 2 4.2"
mortar, 2 light tractors, 2 light ammo trucks with trailer, 1 support stand
3 Infantry Battalions, each with:
Headquarters, with:
       1 command stand, 1 jeep
Headquarters Company, with:
       1 command stand, 1 jeep, 1 light field kitchen truck, 2 light general supply trucks, 1 support stand
3 Infantry Companies, each with:
       1 command weapons stand, 3 infantry stands
1 Weapons Company, with:
       1 command HMG stand (ds), 2 MMG stands, 1 81mm mortar stand (ds)
Antitank Platoon, with:
       1 88L71, 1 heavy tractor, 1 crew stand (ds)

  1. Company Designations: All companies lettered consecutively within their battalions.
  2. Integral Antitank Weapons: All infantry and weapons stands have integral RPG-7 antitank weapons.

2045 Combat Engineer Battalion

        1 command weapons engineer stand, 1 57mm recoiless rifle engineer stand stand, 1 82mm mortar stand (ds)
1 Transport Company, with:
        1 command stand, 1 jeep, 3 medium engineering supply trucks with trailers
